Filmmaker Sarah Burns graduated from Yale University in 2004 with a degree in American studies and went on to work for Moore & Goodman, a small civil rights law firm based in New York. She co-wrote and directed this documentary that examines the 1989 case of five black and Latino teenagers who were convicted of raping a white woman in Central Park. After they spent between six and 13 years each in prison, a serial rapist confessed to the crime. A Q&A and book signing will follow the screening.
